DSL City-wide Network Sessions: Supporting Children in Care with the Birmingham Virtual School

The focus of these city-wide DSL Network sessions is supporting children in care.

PLEASE NOTE: These are additional/repeat sessions of the ones held in Jan/Feb ’23. They are intended for colleagues who were unable to attend the previous sessions.

The Birmingham Virtual School Early Years team will be presenting you with useful information regarding their Service. The session will include:

• Children in care and the role of the Virtual School

• Your role in supporting children in care in your settings.

• The role of the Social Worker

• Personal Education Plans

It is hoped you will leave the session with a much greater understanding of the role of the Virtual School and yourselves in supporting children in care in your settings, and clear contact details for any support/advice you may need regarding children in care.
