The unmet needs of children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) from marginalised communities.
Join us for the first talk in our new Developing Local Provision (DLP) Inclusion Seminar series!
In our first talk, Dr Valerie Daniel will support and challenge us to reflect on the unmet needs of children with SEND from marginalised communities:
"Families from marginalised communities frequently experience disparity in treatment for their children who are entitled to special rights to enable them to thrive.
"Labelling and stereotyping some children as having difficult behaviour and ‘hard to teach’ and some parents as ‘hard to reach’ is a huge part of this pervasive issue."
