
Yardley
Formerly part of Worcestershire, Yardley is a largely residential district located in the southeast of Birmingham.
Yardley district covers the wards of Acocks Green, parts of Bordesley Green, Garretts Green, parts of Glebe Farm and Tile Cross, parts of Hall Green North, Sheldon, parts of Small Heath, parts of Sparkbrook and Balsall Heath East, South Yardley, Tyseley and Hay Mills, Yardley East, and Yardley West and Stetchford.

Did you know…
Yardley was part of Worcestershire until 1911–Acocks Green police station is decorated with a ‘three pear’ motif from the Worcestershire Coat of Arms.
Part of Yardley ward was granted conservation area status in 1969, making it Birmingham's first conservation area.
Yardley is home to Blakesley Hall, a Tudor building built in 1590. It is a Grade II listed building and now houses a museum.

How it works
Each district has a steering group made up of representatives from across the Early Years sector and childcare provision in the district.
They seek to improve outcomes for children through termly district activity based on analysis of district data, sharing professional knowledge, working in partnership with other projects and districts.
