FREE WORKSHOP: Assessment and Moderation in the EYFS

In this workshop we will touch on all assessments in the EYFS, including the two-year-old progress checks, baseline assessment, and the EYFSP; as well as continuous assessments to support ongoing planning and assessments.

During the session, we will cover:

  • How assessments can be inclusive and demonstrate children’s uniqueness

  • Best practices for accurate and reliable assessments in line with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements

  • Share and discuss good practices related to assessment

  • Progress check at age 2

  • Observe, Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle

  • Observation, assessment, and planning

  • Funds of knowledge

  • Development matters checkpoints

  • Setting based moderation

Target audience: PVI settings, nursery practitioners, room leaders
