The Early Years Developing Local Provision (DLP) project, in partnership with the Area SENCo team, is pleased to offer Birmingham practitioners working within early years settings, maintained nursery schools or childminders the opportunity to attend this funded training and gain the CACHE Level 3 Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators in Early Years settings.
The programme is 12 sessions; 10 direct taught sessions and two offering delegates the opportunity to explore and review other early years settings, including specialist provision:
Group 1 sessions take place fortnightly, on Tuesdays
Training sessions will take place face-to-face at Adderley Nursery School
All sessions are a full day (09:30-15:30) with study time allocated during each session
Attendance is essential at all sessions
PLEASE NOTE: Spaces are limited to 25 places for each group. Priority for places will be given to settings where there is not already someone with the Level 3 SENCO qualification or National SENCO award.

Learner requirements
This programme is for Early Years SENCos wanting to gain a qualification and recognition for their role as an Early Years SENCo
Participants must:
Be currently working in an early years setting as a SENCo or looking to undertake this role
Already hold a Level 3 (or above) qualification in early years or childcare
Have the support of their Line Manager and a commitment to continuing professional development (CPD)
