• Statutory and non-statutory documentation

• Safeguarding and welfare requirements

• Learning and development requirements, including:

  • The importance of Speech, Language and Communication (SLC)

  • Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

  • Assessment and moderation

  • The revised Early Learning Goals (ELGs)

• Lessons learnt by Birmingham's Early Adopter Schools
