Further Information

The Birmingham Institute of Professional Learning, working with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), St Matthew’s Research School, and Birmingham Early Years Network are excited to announce that an Early Years and KS1 Oracy programme will be rolled out in the early part of the summer term 2022, through Consortium networks.

The EEF has recognised that communication and language is a high priority for Birmingham schools and have agreed to invest in this area of the city’s work and fund this first nationwide oracy pilot.

Prior to beginning the intensive work with individual schools, we wanted to give all schools in Birmingham an opportunity to attend a conference to hear from some of the current national thinkers around oracy; receive some key takeaways, and also be provided with further details about the funded 2-year project and the selection process.
