Erdington & Sutton Coldfield District Network Meetings - 2022/23

An early years practitioner playing with building blocks and stacking cups with children in a nursery setting

Book your place at this year's Erdington & Sutton Coldfield combined district network meetings - multiple dates/times available per term.

The Birmingham Early Years Network (BEYN) district network meetings aim to provide local practitioners with the opportunity to share information and access professional development. Meetings take place once per term and are open for anyone to attend.

The Erdington and Sutton Coldfield district steering groups are working together to enable providers to access EY Network meetings at different times and dates. There will be an opportunity to talk to colleagues from your district about the unique opportunities and challenges within your district, as well as share ideas across districts.

What is a Steering Group?

Erdington district covers the wards of Castle Vale, Erdington, Graveley Hill, Kingstanding, Perry Common, Pype Hayes, and Stockland Green.

Sutton Coldfield district covers the wards of Four Oaks, Mere Green, Reddicap, Roughley, Trinity, Vesey, Walmley and Minworth, and Wylde Green.

Each district is run by a Steering Group, that meets at least three times a year. The Steering Group is made up of representatives from across the Early Years community and childcare provision in the district who work together to support contact, communication, collaboration, and engagement across the sector.

Steering Group representatives use the District Data Profiles, alongside any other local information, to develop an action plan that is focused on the children in the district.

More information about Steering Groups and how they are run can be found here.
