Supporting a Smooth Transition to Reception for Every Child in Sutton Coldfield District: An opportunity to discuss transition for every child moving to a Reception class in September 2025.

Building on last year’s successful events, this face-to-face session is an opportunity for early years providers and reception practitioners to share information to support a smooth transition for every child as they move on to their Reception classes in September 2025.

There will be opportunities for schools, early years settings, and childminders to discuss children transitioning to Reception classes in school, share transition documents and expertise, as well as arrange visits between settings.

Other professionals from the Area SENCo team and SaLT team will be in attendance to support this event.

Target audience:

  • Early years providers with children transferring to Reception in September 2025

  • Reception teachers and SENCos in Schools

Cost: Free

Location: Trinity Centre, Mill Street, Sutton Coldfield B72 1TF

Timings: 13:00-15:30 (Schools arrive @ 13:00, PVIs arrive @ 13:30)
