Supporting a smooth transition to reception: An opportunity to discuss transition for every child moving to a Reception class in September 2024.

This face-to-face session is for the Hall Green Consortium of Schools (Kings Heath Cluster, Hall Green Cluster, Billesley Cluster and Moseley Cluster) and will be an opportunity to discuss transition for every child moving to a Reception class in September 2024.

  • Schools will attend for the full morning session: 09:00-12:00

  • School to school transition: 09:00-09:30

  • Early years providers will be invited to sign up for a time to attend: 09:30, 10:15 or 11:00

During the transition session, there will be opportunities for schools, early years settings, and childminders to discuss children transitioning to reception classes in school, share transition documents, share expertise, and arrange visits between settings.

All early years colleagues are invited to attend.

Colleagues from the Area SENCo team, SaLT team, and Virtual School will be in attendance.

Target audience: Managers, leaders and practitioners in early years settings working with children aged 0-5
