Book your place at this year's IN-PERSON Network Meetings for Edgbaston and Northfield districts - one meeting per term
The Birmingham Early Years Network (BEYN) district network meetings aim to provide local practitioners with the opportunity to share information and access professional development.
For 2023/24, network meetings will be delivered in paired districts. The pairings are based on the Local Authority Health profiles (North, South, East, West and Central).
Two network meetings will be held each term - one online and one in-person.
The focus for the meetings will primarily be networking and communication, rather than delivering specific content.

What is a Steering Group?
Whilst all 2023/24 network meetings are being delivered in paired districts, Steering Groups will remain district-based to recognise the individual needs of each District.
Every district is run by a Steering Group that meets at least three times a year. The Steering Group is made up of representatives from across the Early Years community and childcare provision in the district who work together to support contact, communication, collaboration, and engagement across the sector.
Edgbaston district covers the wards of Balsall Heath West, Edgbaston, Bartley Green, Harborne, parts of North Edgbaston, Quinton and parts of Weoley and Selly Oak.
Northfield district covers the wards of Allens Cross, Bournville and Cotteridge, Frankley Great Park, parts of Kings Norton North, Kings Norton South, Longbridge and West Heath, Northfield, Rubery and Rednal, and parts of Weoley and Selly Oak.
Steering Group representatives use the District Data Profiles, alongside any other local information, to develop an action plan that is focused on the children in the district.
More information about Steering Groups and how they are run can be found here.
